Let me 1st say I have not been a good blogger and kept up with this but I am here now to share my GrEaT News !!! I set a goal to get 1 of my creation published in the Hobby Lobby magazine. I created plenty of Fall and Christmas layouts and crafts that has been what is distracting me from my blog. This is a funny task it's over 100 degrees of beautiful weather outside and I have candy canes, Christmas trees and snowmen on my mind. Halloween I just went whimsical and I guess that's what got the publications attention because I was contacted to send **2 of my creation in to photographed and published in the Scrapbooking magazine sold at Hobby Lobby nationwide. Now I am so excited about this news but there is a slight chance they might not use all projects selected so I have to be prepared for upsetting news but for now it's the positive note that both creations will make it in the magazine coming out October 1, 2010.

Pickin blackberries in grandma's backyard some berries are sweet but some are sour as you can tell from JD sour face. Josh likes to eat the red berries because they are super sour but not to many you don't want a tummy ache. So many butterflies fluttering around one was on the ground Josh crept up slowly to attempt to catch it but his shadow scared the butterfly away better luck next time. One thing for sure we got plenty of berries to eat with cool whip, bake in a pie or just eat plain maybe a lil sugar.

This is a LO of my oldest son Josh the Squash one of his many nicknames. He is about a year and 5 months old in this photo playing with a toy chainsaw.

When I found Design Dollies color challenge BLACK, YELLOW, TURQUOISE I just had to try. The sketch was inspired from Sketchy Thursday challenge so instead of ribbon I used brads and long bugle beads for a boy tough look. Thank you to all the comments I really appreciate them ;)

Just got these papers from Hobby Lobby, I found this picture while goin through all my stuff, and Candy Shoppe Designs inspired me to use game pieces (poker chips) in a LO so sprung this creation.
Along the way I found Design Dollies that molded my LO for placement.
Chipboard black and red Mickey from The Shabby Tea Room, and sanded black cardstock all the way thru to reveal red and added texture inspired by Frosted Design.

Dynamo Orange Passion

More bottle cap bracelets this one I made for myself on 1 side is the Dynamo logo and on the inside is a picture of Chabala #17 one of my favorite players. The pictures are recycled from the Free Kick program givin out at the game. I also added some orange pom pom ribbon for fun.
Bottle cap necklaces made with Dynamo logo on 1 side and other favorite players pictures Ching, Landin and Davis. Then decorated with black and orange beads.

Earth Day at HEB

We took our 5 plastic bags into HEB in exchange for a reusable tote bag. Our new habit to start for Earth Day and everyday. While we were there the kind girls at HEB face painted the kids K got the Earth on her cheek and Jd had to get a mustache to go with his Mario cap.

Beach in a Jar

Recycle those spaghetti glass jars clean well, and it's ready to fill up with beach memento's. On our recent trip to the beach my daughter made a sandcastle decorated with seashells her favorite thing to do search the beach for seashells and decorate with them rather that play in the water. When it was time to go we took a picture of her creation then put some sand, her new collection of shells, and a little water to take home her very own Beach in a Jar. Which she can use to create another dream castle any day. My son filled his jar with sand and a hermit crab he found.

Blue jello with fish gummies swimming inside. I made these for my kiddo's with this treat your sure to catch a swedish red fish. I had a bit of trouble with the fish staying floating but all the trouble was worth it when I saw the look on my kids face. Jd said your so funny momma while he searched with his spoon for fishes as he giggled and slurped them up.

Rainbow colors bold and bright were a must have at my last trip to Hobby Lobby I stocked up on trims 30% off and I only buy 1/2 a yard is plenty so it's a real bargain so many choices. I knew I had to create a fun colorful layout with this special trim. It took no time at all for K to get the hang of twirling the hula hoop around and round.

Another cup holder recycled into a baby shower gift basket filled with baby bath, hooded towels, wash clothes, and a cute jungle outfit with lion footsies too cute . This was so easy to create the hippo is from my animal kingdom cartridge on my cricut some strips of patterned paper, decorative zig zag scissors and coordinating ribbons and look at this special gift. I kinda feel guilty for not decorating the back but no one ever pay attention to the back do they?

Fishing with the Family

After last weeks fishing trip it was inspired to create this layout from last years fishing trip. I love this color combo so bright everyone knows orange is a favorite in our house. I really like the way the fishes came out embellished with beads. The quote is from my hubby that's why they call is fishing not catching . As you can tell you have to have a lot of patients to go fishing because sometimes there's no catching.

Picnic @ the Park

What a day to spend Spring break at the park picnic, fishing and fun with the family. I made these picnic snack basket from recycled cupholders filled with a lunchable, juice box, and strawberries a pinwheel to play with and ribbon for decoration. Was a big hit with the kids for snack time.

I went shopping yesterday had to get the kiddos some new spring clothes I love all the bright colors out there. When I got home I had a surprise waiting on my porch a box filled with my winning from My Scrapbooking Supplies http://myscrapbookingsupplies.net. Look at all the ribbons, papers, chipboard, 2 albums even adhesive everything comes in this kit. I sat on the floor organizing it while me and my hubby watched T.V. he commented you really like your prize don't you as I sat there on the floor everything spread out. I'm so busy lately working on a veil and pinata for a bachelorette party this Saturday, but when I have time I'm definitely created something with my new goodies.

F.Y.I. spring is everywhere Target $1 area Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby has new papers so I got several spring projects in the works, St. Patty's Day pot of gold and an Easter wreath.

I blended pink & red to make a marble effect on the bowling balls the heart dots were totally Kayla's idea for the finger holes (kinda looks like smiley faces) but I was happy for the help.
